To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Deal was better under Sprint - iPhone 12 free w/trade of iPhone8 or higher... upgraded 3 lines yesterday!
Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Got a text today saying my trade in is not good. I thought it was because I sent in the old flip phone without IMEI#. Texted 611 and after a while she said it's because I didn't mail it in within 7 days. I told her I got a text say 30 days. After a while, she said she would manually apply the credit. Hopefully it's all good. Still took like an hour chat.
I have never heard of a 7-day mailing requirement. Seems like reps on 611 are spewing out some bad intel these days. Maybe stick to Twitter or Messenger reps.

Right! My trade-in was delivered on the 5/6. On 5/8, got a text reminding me to ship back the trade-in phone. Chat with CS and asked why I got the text. I got a silence treatment for 15 mins. So I just exited out the chat!

I can forgive that text a lot more and chalk it up to T-mobile's system of being typically slow to process and post info and trades.

What is not forgivable is erroneously cancelling a trade and promo on someone and then making up the reason as being failure to comply with a bogus 7-day mailing requirement.

Those employees both should be fired, the one who cancelled the promo in error and the one who gave BS intel as to why it was cancelled.

I used to be like you.

No one deserves to get fired over a cheap cell phone. Maybe they just need better training.

I am hoping USPS deliver it at some mail room and that does not necessarily mean the clerk entered it in their system. In my case, USPS delivered in on 5/8 per USPS tracking but no email/text from t-mobile yet.

One of my trade in got delayed by USPS and I mailed it more than 10 days ago...The tracking has not been updated since last Friday.
Now I am starting to worry what if USPS lost my package...

Thanks for your responses. I didn't know only "Direct Delivery" qualifies for the $30 promo. They had 3 available at the store for around $260 and I almost bought it right there. Is going thru "Direct Delivery" a better option? Do you check its inventory through membershipwireless.com?
The website may not let you check inventory.

Call your local Costco T-mobile to check whether they have inventory.

I received a text today saying my promo ended followed by another text saying T-mobile applied device trade in credit of $0. It was a Flip phone . Spoke to an agent and she told the phone was rejected because it was a flip phone .What crap . I remember reading the promo mentioned it can be a flip or suitcase phone or any phone.
Why does T-mobile does this promo if they cannot follow a standard rules across.
I have seen these stories only from samsung tradein. Probably it is a Samsung A32, we are seeing all these drama.

Can someone explain to me whether I'm missing something here?

I have an old Samsung Note 4. The thing is practically worthless. If I trade it in, T-Mobile will give me a free Samsung A32 and I'm under no obligation to do anything with this free phone. I could even sell it tomorrow for all they care. I'm also under no obligation to open a new phone line with T-Mobile.

So what does T-Mobile get out of all this? Is there a catch I'm missing?

That doesn't make sense. I submitted two flip phones and both were accepted for the A32.

You would need to pay off the balance of whatever is left of the $282 before you could sell it (so maybe not tomorrow, but a month or two from now). But now they've got you hooked for 2 years before you get that money back at $11.75 each month.

Yes. Your trade in value for your cheapo phone is Zero. $0. That's normal.
Tmobile will just give you a credit of $11.75 x 24 to your account. Just login to the tmobile website and check your account.
