Also this debate is kind of like religion but in terms of waterproof vs ventilation, always go ventilation unless you're expecting it to cause big problems if your feet get wet. Vented shoes dry out WAY quicker; waterproof shoes trap moisture inside much longer if it gets in. A shoe which you can step in a puddle and dry out over the next 20-30 min is usually a better choice unless it's dangerous for your feet to be wet.

It is good price. I paid over a 100 for essentially the same, just the boot version last year. They have hiked well in the Cascades with minimal break-in.
