Also see the Newegg 15" post. This is the 14" model with Costco extended warranty and no fuss returns nearby. Activate this month's Discover Card cashback 5% promo for warehouse stores should be ~$711 plus tax and $9.99 shipping.

Glad its loaded with 16GB RAM and should have a pen when doing Figma Zoom Slack productivity. The Integrated GPU leaps the 4600U by 400Mhz. I basically wanted to play Witcher 3 and YouTubers show 5700U can run it better then 5600U with Zen 3. Still get the touchscreen I wanted with a Ryzen 7.

The dig that it is likely 250 NITS screen which hampers outdoor use. Most reviewers say Flex line screens have appealing color for the price range regardless of RGB coverage. I would use an iPhone or iPad at a coffee place.

Why wouldn't you just get this one, for $600 after the $150 shop card? Seems like very similar specs.

I'm not a computer expert, but the RAM, screen, SSD, WiFi, etc look to be the same. I was basically asking which one was better, so thanks. Is there a good website to compare the cpu's? I had one years ago, and can't find it now.

If you need the extra processing power of 8 cores go with Ryzen. If you do not need the extra power go with the cheaper intel.

You're saying double the specs on 1 component? Thats not double "Specs" Memory SSD etc are all the same.

Yet that component is really comparing thread usage.​

Single core the i5, though much older, outperforms single thread performance of the AMD.

I use this Userbenchmark.com [userbenchmark.com]. According to it, the Ryzen in this deal is better than the i5 model you linked, but it's not a night and day difference. So if you're just going to use it for basic office work, email, web browsing, etc., might as well save a few bucks with the i5. If you're going to be pushing it's limits with CPU-intensive tasks like encoding video or working with large data files, it might be worth it to pay more for the Ryzen.​
