we keep boxes of these in the lobby of our building in case you forget a mask on your way out, but they are particularly popular with our essential delivery workers who sometimes need a fresh mask in the middle of their shifts. at this price, why not put a box or two out to support these folks?
Disposable masks are the new plastic straws of the ocean

I'm assuming this is for people who didn't buy the Costco deal few weeks ago(500 masks for $5). I DID. So, I'm stocked up. Thanks for posting though. I shared this to my non-Costco friends.

got this to go to places where masks are still mandatory. The benefits of these masks are that they are lighter than the more protective masks. I am vaccinated or else will go with the n95 mask for $2 a piece on Amazon .
I think people are starting to move to the kn95 mask as those mask production increases and price dropping.
Most K95 valves are designed as one way filtered flow. So if you are healthy and wearing it, it will keep you healthy. But if you are sick and wearing it, chances are germs are escaping through the valves at some point. Most hospitals don't allow those kind of valved masks. They would ask you to put on another layer of mask on top of it. That gets harder to breath at some point.

I have never seen a valved KN95 mask, only the N95 masks.

"Effective" is a relative term. If you want to protect yourself properly, do NOT get this and instead get authentic 3M N95 masks which are now readily available to the public on Amazon and elsewhere and no longer just to the healthcare industry. They are also much cheaper than they used to be. You can get them for less than a dollar a mask and they can be re-used many times unlike these flimsy masks which do not even protect you well. Sure these are super cheap and better than nothing, but you get what you pay for. Is that what you want you and your loved ones to use to battle a deadly virus? Your call...
You don't clean them. That would destroy any effectiveness that they have. After wearing it, store it in a paper bag for at least 5 days and you can rotate them that way.
