Update:

I actually bought this and found that its compatible with COX and Spectrum too. It's only been 2 days, but have found great success with it already, where its operating in a 3500 sq ft house!

The NetGear NightHawk app made this painless to setup. And a simple call to Xfinity's customer service line got this activated and running in 20 minutes or less. I'm seeing a 200-350mbps boost in speed depending on where I'm in the house. Definitely happy of nabbing this deal, despite it being a DOCSIS 3.0 device.

TL;DR: I'm am pleasantly happy with the speed and connectivity boost this modem router combination has given me at its $30 OFF discount price.
