SD rule #1: Never call the store!!!
Got two. Were asked to donate for school supplies. Too shy to say no. Donated $5. Guess i am not a good SDer.
Saw 2 in stock in my area in NY, so I went to the store and they weren't on display. Went up to register and it seemed like the supervisor knew exactly the model and size I was looking for, and went to the back and retrieved it for me.

My guess is an employee is trying to keep it for themselves... but I left one for them

Doesn't look like Brickseek updates Staples inventory in anywhere near real time. Bought a few of these earlier today, but the Brickseek quantity hasn't changed.
Exactly true. I've seen that plenty of times from past deals. Others sometimes think the employees have them stored for themselves but someone else got there sooner.

This is probably the first time that I was able to score a deal like this. Immediately went to a store close to me after I saw on slickdeals (Saturday/5pm) and found the last one available at store. $7.04 with tax.

Or, you know, you could back up your important data.
Yes I back mine up on blu-ray disks. But clients don't always have backups when their computer fails and had an ssd and want to recover data.

I went to my local store because Brickseek showed 3 but the manager said he sold 1 and 2 were getting transferred to other stores. I thought it was just BS. I should have asked him to transfer from other stores. Do they really do that?

All YMMV items are this way
Most of the time they would hide them and lie to you and tell you it's out of stock, especially Walmart

What he's really saying is "Piss off, I'm saving them for myself"

FYI, I don't think the Brickseek is accurate for this right now. Picked one up yesterday and the stock hasn't changed for that store.

120gb for your O/S root drive is a minimum (after the OS updates, office, page file, core apps associated to the OS like malwarebytes), also, it's well documented that ssd start to degrade when you fill them to capacity. Personally, would be hesitant about using such a small drive today for anything but some games favorites, a cache drive for a mechanical hdd, or raid a half dozen together for a reasonable storage pool.
Yea pretty much only useful for a netbook grade pc or a headless type system.

My old data recovery pc has a 120, anyone who isn't pure cloud computing would need more.
