Saw 2 in stock in my area in NY, so I went to the store and they weren't on display. Went up to register and it seemed like the supervisor knew exactly the model and size I was looking for, and went to the back and retrieved it for me.

My guess is an employee is trying to keep it for themselves... but I left one for them

I'd put it in a Plex server.

Just got 4 in Dallas.. had to go to 2 Staples. Employee said if he knew, he would grab some..
Can you share which stores in Dallas no longer have stock? I'm headed out near some Staples today in Dallas/Plano/Addison and would like to avoid the ones you already hit Smilie

So i went to Coit / Campbell & Preston and Forrest. Frisco had some. When i went in to Staples , they can check with their handhelds and tell you which stores have some. Just have it open online and they can check.

I used brickseek but someone beat me out by a few hours and i guess it takes a while to update so customer service sent me to the 2nd staples

Multiple stores nearby showed stock. Only one would let me put an online order in. That one was canceled this morning due to "couldn't find" yet online still shows stock.

I think so but dont quote me. I went to Coit at 545 and by the time I got an answer, Addison would be closing at 6. Preston / forrest were the only ones open till 7 so they sent me there. Even held them for me but they said not every store would do that.

We bought about 6 of these for general use at work last year during a SD deal. Intended to use to upgrade a couple older systems, use as usb backup drives, and random other tasks.

I did not know it was possible for an SSD to be this slow. If that would've been the only problem it would've been fine — whatever they were crazy cheap. They also had more compatibility issues than I've seen with ssds even going back old OCZ days.

I'm sure some will have better luck, but if you're wondering if it's worth spending your Sunday chasing down this deal, don't.

Supposedly, 3 were set for store pickup by someone. Why would someone do that? They would have to pay the 25, then. Maybe he was full of it, because he wanted it, himself.
