I'm thinking about it. All the reviews on Amazon are for the corded version. This appears to be a new model. Greenworks mowers in general are usually highly rated.

Was thinking of getting this for my dad, but looks like this one isn't self-propelled. That one runs for $499.

I have used a green works non self propelled mower for over 3 years now. It is light and I can move it pretty easily however we have a slope along the back yard and want self propelled to get that part done faster.

So I you are looking for self propelled I would wait for one. I switched to all EGO except for my mower and plan to go that route with my next mower.

A word of caution, almost all of the greenworks deals I see posted are for 40 volt and 80 volt batteries and equipment. I honestly don't recall ever seeing anything for 24 volt so these batteries might not have as much multifunction as a lot of their other equipment. which is where I believe the value of going electric really comes in.

I've used a corded Greenworks mower during the past few years. Got hang of it without much trouble with the extension cord, but the loosening contact between the mower plug and extension cord outlet has become a big issue. I'm thinking of switching to a cordless mower, but I'm not sure if this one is good enough for my 0.25 acre yard.

I currently have a Black &Decker corded mower that is over 10 years old. I'm getting tired of the cord so I'm thinking this might be a good solution. My property is small and takes less than 30 minutes to mow, so this should work.

I think the latest trend is to use the two 24v batteries that also work in the hand tools. Kobalt is doing the same thing (might even be the same mower).

I've had a corded Greenworks for a few years and the build quality is pretty sad (just about everything that could loosen, rust, or fall off has done so, but the motor is still fine). Our previous B&D electric was basic, but still solid after a decade. I'm definitely reluctant to buy from them again but this is the among best deals I've seen yet.

The cord is just not inconvenient enough for me to really need to switch. If you have a lot of obstacles or need to mow a specific pattern that could hang the cord up, then absolutely. But I still don't see cordless ready for prime time until the batteries are good for 5+ years. So many year 2 and 3 failures in the long term reciews.
