Long time, first time. Been keeping my eye on these speakers for awhile after the JBL outdoor speaker last month. Usually these are going for $189.99 but they're $50 off for $139.99.

Costco membership required but this is a good deal for great outdoor speakers if you're in the market for some.

Seriously, can't believe people still use electricity to power things. If you are not using mind power with quantum entanglement, you are soo 1877
Ridiculously vapid comment. Some of us have grown up audio systems and can handle the simple task of wiring a speaker while not dealing with batteries and recharging and dropped connections. Enjoy your Beats Audio.
Just a word of caution.

While these are labeled as white speakers, they look more like white speakers that have been faded by the sun and have that yellowish tinge to them. They are definitely not white looking. You can check it out in the stores and when you look at the display model you'll think oh maybe this is just from sitting out in the light or sun or something like that.. But rest assured if you open up the box you'll see that same exact color.

I really don't know why they did this other than if they figured that people might return it because it was white at one point and then became this color?

Why is this an issue vs how they sound? Many of you might decide to mount this either on your house or on a white fence and the color will look odd. Maybe some of you don't care about that but certainly if you're dealing with setups of this type, you typically care a little bit about how your home looks.

I'm probably going to use this amp...

...and put it in a small plastic weatherproof box on the wall with a flip lid ($17 on Amazon).

May be overkill, but I'll drill a small hole in the bottom of the box and situate the amp so the antenna sticks out through the hole 👍🏼
That fosi amp is way better than that marine amp. Same output but half the distortion. Just gonna need to insulate it from the weather and if not. buy a new one, they are only 60

Bought these at our local store. Sounded great playing music on the display. They're definitely yellowish, like old computer monitor plastic, and not white like the pics suggest if you're concerned about having to paint them.

True. They actually look good mounted to the beige trim on my brick home. Might not look good against white trim unless you hit them with a rattle can of white paint first. Lol.

The measurements of that fosi amp have me a little concerned...even though these are "outdoor" speakers. Mostly for its frequency range output. It looks like the upper treble and lower bass are rolled off substantially. I may wind up using an old stereo or av receiver with a Bluetooth module instead. I picked up a Sony 5.1 DA50ES av receiver last week for $9 at goodwill. I think that thing was like $1k msrp in 2000. After playing it for several hours the only problem I can find is the outer part of the volume knob was missing. I ordered a replacement from eBay for $10. Lol. A few weeks ago I found a 5.1 YAMAHA av receiver for $7 at another charity/thrift store. Again, after hours of testing it the only thing wrong with it is some worn silver paint on its faceplate.

I used a long drill bit and went up 45 degrees into the wood trim. It popped out into the attic. I have these long thin fiberglass rods for running wires through walls. I taped the wire to the rod and ran it through the hole.

Exactly what I'm planning on doing. Hooking two sets of these up to a 100 watt $10 JVC receiver I got at goodwill. A/B outs for two different outdoor zones, with an Amazon Echo Dot hooked up for bluetooth. The Dots have an audio out to hook up to the receiver.

I have to mount two pair (two zones) to vinyl siding and having a heck of a time trying to find some type of mounting block/option that will avoid putting a hole in the siding. I'm planning on running all speaker wire under the siding to one single outer wall penetration.

Anyone have any options?

I have these outside under my deck and use the Pyle outdoor marine amp. Works great and sounds amazing. Highly recommend these as they sound way better then any wireless setup I have seen. Link to my pyle amp below though they make several with more watts, I thought 400 was enough.

How is the bluetooth range on that AMP? Been struggling to find one that's got enough power while still having good BT range.

Honestly, not that great if you have to go through many walls. Outside I use my phone and it works within 15ft really well. Beyond that it starts to have connection issues. It does have a USB port and SD card port you can copy music to and play that way. Or, use the RCA Jack's for a different device like an Echo. I plan to try the Echo soon that I can bring outside and hook up when I know I will be outside. Several options is what makes this amp a good one for $60ish. But, most amps would work fine, I just wanted one that was waterproof and I could mount under my deck where I have power. It doesnt get wet directly but theoretically could get a little wet if winds are high enough. That was my main concern in choosing this amp, that and the other features made it versatile and enough power for 2 or 4 speakers like these Klipsch

Just bought these for our cabin deck. What would be the best BT receiver be if it needs to be small form factor, weatherproof, wall mountable, and great BT range? TIA
