Long time, first time. Been keeping my eye on these speakers for awhile after the JBL outdoor speaker last month. Usually these are going for $189.99 but they're $50 off for $139.99.
Costco membership required but this is a good deal for great outdoor speakers if you're in the market for some.

While these are labeled as white speakers, they look more like white speakers that have been faded by the sun and have that yellowish tinge to them. They are definitely not white looking. You can check it out in the stores and when you look at the display model you'll think oh maybe this is just from sitting out in the light or sun or something like that.. But rest assured if you open up the box you'll see that same exact color.
I really don't know why they did this other than if they figured that people might return it because it was white at one point and then became this color?
Why is this an issue vs how they sound? Many of you might decide to mount this either on your house or on a white fence and the color will look odd. Maybe some of you don't care about that but certainly if you're dealing with setups of this type, you typically care a little bit about how your home looks.

Examples of "better" options.... ???
The Polk's have been around forever without any big updates and still get positive reviews, so that tells you something. They'll last, they sound great, and are just a good speaker.

Ok...the Polk atrium 4 is same price as this ($150). They both have free return shipping. I've ordered both and will compare them and post results here . The loser will get returned.
I prefer the smaller size of the Polk but "better" sound is more important.
What are you talking about? Klipsch clearly knew that of the millions of houses out there, they made their speakers paintable for those who want to match the paint of their house... If you ask me this was pretty darn well thought out by Klipsch.

I use this amp, mounted outside under my deck, but there are several outdoor marine amps that would work great.
Hope that helps

I'm probably going to use this amp...

...and put it in a small plastic weatherproof box on the wall with a flip lid ($17 on Amazon).

May be overkill, but I'll drill a small hole in the bottom of the box and situate the amp so the antenna sticks out through the hole 👍🏼
