Also even the Sony 2021 models do not have VRR/ALLM out of the box. Watch out for those Sony "promises" of features coming in future updates.

VRR is something really not used for console gaming and more for PC Gamers. No question of a doubt I would buy the Sony 900 at this size. 85" is massive and this is a very good tv for quality/cost
That's only a better deal if you don't care about the warranty.
They're the exact same TV with the exact same warranty.
