The 60 Hz screen rather than 144 makes this a non-starter. If it had a 144 Mhz screen then the price would be reasonably good.

Even with 144Mhz this is NOT good, consider the Costco MSI with 2070 for the same price.

From what I understand, Lenvovo Legion 5 is the King of 17.3" laptops. Lenovo has optimized their laptop in a way that other manufacturers have not meaning that out of the box (without undervolting and overlocking), a Lenovo Legion 5 RTX 2060 should match the MSI 2070, if not better. And, the Lenovo has better cooling, system build and quality control.

So, from a practical standpoint, it is the Lenovo screen here that is the bottleneck.

ConfusedLMAO I'd love to see any supporting evidence (ie reviews) for what you are claiming here.

There is no way the Lenovo 2060 beats a MSI GE75 2070 (or the 2060 for that matter) in gaming.

I just did a search for reviews, and looked at the specs, and have no clue what power the 2060 is in this. There was one "review" of a 17" 2060 model that claimed 85W, while the 15" had 115W (?). https://www.youtube.com<br /> /wa...GwuJ1mYPK4

Lenovo spec sheet doesn't say: https://psrefapi.lenovo.com/Detai...81Y80016US

The Timespy score here indicates poor performance... my MSI 2060 scores 28% higher: https://www.techradar.com/reviews...on-5i-2021

This one is 85W: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Len...845.0.html

There are many reasons why this is a poor deal. If you want a Legion, then get the one on ebay for $880 that has a 4800H and 1660Ti.

1) I am not saying the one in this thread is good.

2) From what I have read, Lenovo Legion 5 doesn't supply full power to RTX for the Intel processor but does so for the Ryzen processor.

3) "my MSI 2060 scores 28% higher": But isn't that with undervolting and overclocking?

4) Lots of persons in the gaming threads harp on the Lenovo 5. I am echoing their sentiments based on what I have read so if those slikdealers are merely pumping up Lenovo Legion 5 then I have reflected it.

Yes, but that only got me a 10% boost. Here is another Ryzen 2060 Legion that again is slow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PIrz1zLihk

But here is a test that shows a score for a 115W Legion; slightly better than mine stock: https://youtu.be/RqzDrQX6Wf8?t=101

The first link I gave was a Ryzen processor and 85W 2060. Plus it doesn't make sense that the Ryzen ones would have higher GPU power, because all these CPUs have 45W TDP.

So I don't know how you can tell for sure what it is.

So I don't know how you can tell for sure what it is.

Based on someone's testing on Reddit/YouTube:
Legion 5 (AMD) 15" = 115W RTX2060
Legion 5 (AMD) 17" = 90W RTX2060
Legion 5i (Intel) 15" / 17"* = 85W RTX2060

* is the Intel model referenced in this deal. Seems the 17" chassis, which theoretically should have better cooling, actually suffers thermally.

It's also worth nothing that most Legion 5s come now with a 115W capable RTX2060 but are locked to 85W, 90W or 100W. People say that you can flash a 115W VBIOS from the Legion 5 discord channel without issue. I have an 15" AMD so I haven't really looked into this process.
