I have RSIM-16 and the phone is updated to iOS 14. I'm not sure what I'm doing. I have this phone with a TW sim and I have 2 other phones on Xfinity, an iPhone XR and an android phone. I'm trying to use the android sim in this phone, so I can use this phone with Xfinity. I put Rsim with the TW sim in this phone and it brought up the unlock menu once and I thought I unlocked but it kept saying card was not activated. Now I can't even get back to the unlock menu. I've tried putting the Rsim in all 3 phones and no menu. I'm thinking the rsim is fried???

Yea, if the serials numbers are different, it means they replaced the phone.
I think you can also check by the model number or serial number. Refurbs start with a specific letter, I'm not exactly sure.
regarding rsim, I'm not sure how rsim 16 works. Is it a film that you put over/under the SIM card? those are very flimsy and can mess up easily

I used it on the Coral XR deal for an uncle who is on Ultra mobile (pre paid service) and did it 2 days ago and it works fine.

Hi this thread is old but am trying to make this work on ios 15 locked iPhone 12. I have an old iPhone 5s on ios12 I could update the iccid but what do I do once the rsim13 has the new iccid? Thanks!
there is an updated rsim 13 that was released a bit after iOS 15 was released.
for me, I unlocked 2 iPhone XR with the new one. I simply put the rsim13 in the phone and waited 20-30 seconds. I didn't even have to type in the iccid when the box popped up.
My friend also bought 2, for his, it wasn't like mine, I had to enter the newest iccid. I'm not sure why it was different with his.
all 4 were on 15.2
