Got one line upgraded with Pixel 5 about 1 week ago and another today. Both for 299.99 before tax. Original Price is $699. Haven't seen any discounts so far anywhere. Once you upgrade, the phone will be locked for 2 years which is the contract period. I have been on At&t for 5 years and don't plan to move out of my family plan in the next two years. If you are in a similar boat, this is an awesome deal.
FYI- Your monthly billing rates won't change after you buy the phone. You just pay $299 upfront and get the locked phone.
Here are the steps:
1. Call 611
2. Ask for loyalty department
3. Then ask them for Pixel 5 deal for 2 year contract.
Sometimes the deals are personalized for that particular account. Hence YMMV. We got it twice so I don't think its that uncommon. Good Luck!
This is my first deal post so apologies if I didn't follow posting rules/methodology.
P.S. I upgraded from LG V20 (loved the phone) and Pixel 5 is awesome. Snappy with great battery life and features

Thanks! I think it's common to get additional compensation via bill credits if you ask and they don't have a deal good enough available. That's what I've gotten in the past and what a friend of mine recently got on some iphone 12s. I was just hoping that the 199 was now the offer for the pixel since getting additional off does require some back and forth sometimes and even multiple calls if a rep isn't willing to do it. I actually had a rep promise me so much credit once to get free phones that he couldn't do it all in one day and had to schedule to call me back another day to process the rest..and surprisingly he actually did call back himself...haha.
I have been looking for a replacement phone in this price range, so I was thrilled to get a flagship, even if it does require a 2 year contract. I am normally a 1-2 year old midrange phone buyer, so this is a big upgrade for me. I was considering the Galaxy s21 free deal, but I didn't want the hassle of buying something to trade in and hope that there were no issues. Plus I prefer a more stock Android install.
They also offered Pixel 4a, but I need the extra water resistance since I run and you never know when you will get caught in the rain.
I'm hoping att isn't bs-ing about this:
"Plus, Pixel 5 comes with the added benefit of our 5G+ technology available in parts of 36 cities."
