And the 9th gen has something like
i7-9xx

Currently there is o good deal on Dell Desktops with a decently powerful GPU. There are ome Dell G5 Gaming Desktops with i5-10400, 8GB ram, 1TB HDD and a GTX 1660 SUPER Graphics card at nearly $882 - $50 Off via 50OFF699 = $828. Now if you add your $100 AMEX Offer, it will be $728. But it does not come with SSD and you may need to invest one in future, at least a 256GB one.

Another option is Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gaming Desktop at $723.79
https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/desk...90RB0001US
It has a good Processor, decent enough GPU, 512GB SSD. You can use some Cashback site to get some 4% cashback.

I will keep an eye and if find anything, will let you know, definitely before 4/30.

Thank you for your response and detailed recommendation. I will save both desktop in my bookmark now to compare later if there are other deals later. Most likely I will buy one before the end of of the month since my desktop was just broke down !! Hopefully sell will put some new deal at the end of April !

For 15" laptop, looks like Dell has Inspiron 15 5502 Laptop: 15.6" 1080p, i5-1135G7, 12GB DDR4, 256GB NVMe $587.99 and if you have 10% off coupon, it would be $524.79.

Hi, 32 GB max implies 32GB per slot, and 64GB in total?

in general, is a single 16GB better than 2x8GB?
Having 2 DIMMs installed will generally provide better performance than 1.
Thus having 2 DIMMs installed would be preferred unless you plan to upgrade.
However, 16GB of RAM is plenty for most folks.

However, If a Laptop has 8GB of RAM and you wanted to Upgrade to 16GB, a Single 8GB stick would be preferable since you then only need to buy a Single 8GB Stick to add to the existing 8gb. If it had (2) 4GBs, the memory upgrade would be more costly.

Same config @ Dell Outlet in Like New condition for $675 (no coupon this week that applies).

When there is a coupon it will typically bring the cost down to $600 or less, depending on coupon deal.

Something to keep an eye on.
If you ever intend to buy an extended warranty thru Dell for your Laptop, the Outlet is often a sweet place to buy. The reason is the Warranty price is less. It will be based off the Discounted Outlet Price. From main Dell, it is based on any Pre-Coupon price. The savings can be substantial on warranty cost.

And I've never had an issue with any of the Outlet Dell PCs I've bought.

Price showed $688.50 plus tax for me this morning. Purchased and got the Amex offer to trigger within seconds of ordering.

Been looking for a laptop of my own to telework and play with. Thx to the OP for posting this.

Dell Outlet has refurbs starting around $700 after the 10% coupon available on the outlet site.

What the hell is this?

Is this laptop a 28W or 12W version? 2.8 Ghz "base" vs 1.2 Ghz?
I've got a similar question - Does anyone know the wattage on the charger included? Is it a 45W charger or 65W charger?

It seems that there's higher and lowered powered implementations of the i7-1165G7 out there. For example, the XPS 13 seems to power restrict their 1165G7 (comes with a 45W charger, but connecting it to a higher watt charger doesn't help), but the LG Gram 16 is more aggressive and comes with a 65W charger.

The Wattage of the charger has nothing to do with the Processor TDP setup by the manufacturers. To your example, The i7-1165G7 in XPS 13 can maintain 28W TDP to the Processor for longer duration than LG Gram. And it comes with 65W Charger. You can simply add the item to cart and in the Cart, simply click on the view full spec which will show you all the details.

Yes I didn't mean to imply that TDP = charger wattage, but I was just piggybacking off the other guy's post. Heat dissapation and TDP seem to be the performance limiting issues. Thanks for answering the wattage question.
