It you have looked at previous generations before, you would notice previous 10th gen is like
i7-10xx
And the 9th gen has something like
i7-9xx

Looks like this had i5
Thus having 2 DIMMs installed would be preferred unless you plan to upgrade.
However, 16GB of RAM is plenty for most folks.
However, If a Laptop has 8GB of RAM and you wanted to Upgrade to 16GB, a Single 8GB stick would be preferable since you then only need to buy a Single 8GB Stick to add to the existing 8gb. If it had (2) 4GBs, the memory upgrade would be more costly.
When there is a coupon it will typically bring the cost down to $600 or less, depending on coupon deal.
Something to keep an eye on.
And I've never had an issue with any of the Outlet Dell PCs I've bought.

Been looking for a laptop of my own to telework and play with. Thx to the OP for posting this.
What the hell is this?
Is this laptop a 28W or 12W version? 2.8 Ghz "base" vs 1.2 Ghz?
It seems that there's higher and lowered powered implementations of the i7-1165G7 out there. For example, the XPS 13 seems to power restrict their 1165G7 (comes with a 45W charger, but connecting it to a higher watt charger doesn't help), but the LG Gram 16 is more aggressive and comes with a 65W charger.
