2k one does not work with chime either. You bypass the chime and use the plugin chime they provide. Seems similar to this.
Correct.

You use your existing doorbell wiring to give this camera power. However, when someone pushes the button, your existing doorbell chime won't ring. You have to put a small clip in the existing chime so it doesn't ring. I've previously had one of these and I didn't have any issues other than the ocassional missed alert. Like a package would be on my step, but I didn't get an alert that someone was at the door. I'd still prefer this over a "dumb" doorbell. However if your are already in a ring or nest echo system, I'd just go with one of those than mixing and matching.
But they do provide a plugin chime that works fine.
Let me read around to know more about these.
Thanks again for the info!
so you may want to check/upgrade your wifi, that is usually the problem
If i want the local storage in the house and have he doorbell wired the only option is the one with the Homebase?
(I tried thinking about how to make my questions sound nicer, but my wife was nagging at me at the same time.thanks in advance for any input)
