1 camera system is still $99.99 but if you choose the 2 camera system it drops the price to $129.99 ($179 regular). I believe this brings it down to same price per camera ($65) as Prime Day / Black Friday 2020 but I may be wrong. Includes two Blink Outdoor cameras and one Sync Module 2.

The 3 camera kit is also on sale, and if you qualify, you can do monthly payments on it.

Be aware that these CANNOT change where they upload video to. Unfortunately...

It depends. I have cameras where the motion trigger/recordings are significantly low. Those batteries are over two years old. The camera that overlooks the driveway where people are coming and going all the time, I have to change those out once every 5-6 months.

LOL, so if they don't get used, they last, but if they do get used, they don't last. Applause
Just boiling it down. Peace

I have blink and other battery power cameras, this one promises 2 years, and delivered 8 months to 2 years. and the other brand, promise 6 months, where I get 3 weeks to 6 months of run time.. so your choice.

If the camera is very rarely used, then the battery could hold the charge for up to 2 years. If it is used moderately to frequently, then it will not last any where near 2 years. I have mine plugged in and max out the settings. It is cheaper and more reliable in the long run. Peace

Yes, only to Amazon Cloud, but only in 12 second chunks. I'd rather have a choice to store it locally but I don't know of a single battery-powered cam that can do that sadly...

EufyCam 2 Pro 2K stored to the base station, you don't need to use their cloud. I'm waiting for them to drop in price again, i have some areas i'd like to throw a camera that don't have power (like a tree looking out into the wood line...)

i mean... duh? it's battery powered, what did you expect?
the specs and documentation also state the "usage" as ~54k seconds per year, so none of this should really be a surprise.

wire-free cameras are for areas that don't have power or can't have power easily... if you already had power there, why in the world would you put a battery power camera up? sounds like you just didn't look into the limitation and trade-offs before buying.

There is a USB in the back of the Sync Module 2 that allows you to add additional storage for local storage. Storage on the cloud is not the only option. You can store locally through the USB.

Literally from the item listing: Store video clips and photos in the cloud with the Blink Subscription Plan and save events locally to the Blink Sync Module 2 via a USB flash drive (sold separately).

I guess a thumbdrive is an option, but that kinda defeats the purpose of automated local storage... That's like a more physical way of downloading short clips manually, you just need to buy something instead of using their free service.

No more deep discount on TENAVOLTS 1.5V AA Lithium Rechargeable Battery. Any other lithium ion battery on sale that work well on these cameras?

Anyone have experience using only the local storage without subscription? Are all motion detection events viewable in app without having to plug the USB drive into a computer? The product description says you can but some reviews say you can't.

I have the lifetime free cloud storage from my old system and am considering buying this for my parents but they probably won't want to pay for a subscription.

Edit: More recent comments say the app has been updated to allow viewing local storage.

Edit 2: But it uploads to cloud where it's inaccessible and downloads to the local storage once a day? So you can only review videos a day later? Very confusing.

Edit 3: The daily backup only applies to people with cloud subscriptions? And if you're just using local storage, everything is accessible instantly?
