Alton Brown recommended. Great on popcorn. They have another variety for mac and cheese (think Kraft powder) or there are modifications you can find online using this.

Link to the Alton video, i recommend it super easy and fun to do for movie nights. Ghee worked well and last for a long time if you dont have it.

Not to TC but I will not be buying this due to Artificial Food Dyes used (Yellow 5 and Yellow 6). Obviously there's differing opinions on the toxicity of AFDs. But it's a fact they're synthesized from petroleum. Numerous studies show that both Yellow 5 and 6 contain cancer-causing chemicals (like benzidine), which affect children more than adults but are still suspect for both age groups.

"Three dyes (Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6) have been found to be contaminated with benzidine or other carcinogens. At least four dyes (Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6) cause hypersensitivity reactions. Numerous microbiological and rodent studies of Yellow 5 were positive for genotoxicity...the evidence for carcinogenicity, genotoxicity, and hypersensitivity, coupled with the fact that dyes do not improve the safety or nutritional quality of foods, indicates that all of the currently used dyes should be removed from the food supply..."
