Tracfone phones are definitely carrier locked and I believe you have to wait and have service for a full 12 months, before you can request to get it unlocked. You can read more about it here.

I have had this for three months. Overall a good phone, screen is sharp, battery life is great, fast enough for most users. The bad is some games will tax the phone, the screen is not bright enough, its heavy and big phone.

Don't think TF sells the 2021 Moto bundles.
2020 version has better screen but feels much heavier/bulkier than my previous Moto phones.

This Tracfone Moto G Power (2020) is preloaded with the SIM card with Mins, Texts, and Data installed and pre-packaged. Not like in years past where the phone was separate and a loaded Tracfone Prepaid Card was included.

I was able to call Tracfone Help and had my mins, texts, and Data from existing Moto G6 transferred to new Moto G Power. You can then have them put all the total mins, texts, & data back to previous phone. Or do it yourself online or just take the new SIM card and switch it with your old phone. Good luck!

This is a locked phone when I suggested to buy it unlocked I meant to buy it factory unlocked from somewhere else

This phone is my daily driver, I use it on Tracfone Verizon and I love it. The camera is not as good as an iPhone obviously and it may feel bulky to some. The battery life is incredible, I could never go back to a 1 day battery now. And the fingerprint reader is on the back unlike the newer version where it is on the side. There is no NFC so if that's important to you just be aware.

I bought this phone unlocked from Best Buy a few months ago. Nice phone, big screen, great battery, feels good in the hand. Camera is okay, not the best, but still good.

But getting it unlocked from Tracfone will be a task. Tracfone locks down their phones and short of a software hack, sim mod, or paying a third party (expensive), best to keep it on the service that comes with it.

Makes a great phone for a younger child begging for a phone, or an older parent not needing a ton of data.
