I have had this for three months. Overall a good phone, screen is sharp, battery life is great, fast enough for most users. The bad is some games will tax the phone, the screen is not bright enough, its heavy and big phone.

Can I buy this and add the card to an existing plan, then just use the phone on wifi otherwise? So not activating this phone, but using the card on another existing TracFone line? My MIL needs more TracFone minutes and my kids want a wifi device.

I like Motorola phone because they all are unlocked meaning that you can use on any carrier. Also I did similar Tracfone deal on Amazon last year, I activated the Tracfone SIM card on another spare phone that I had.

Not just the model number, look at the case in the description picture... the camera cutout is for the 2020 version. If I'm not mistaken, the camera cluster on the 2021 version is a square in the top middle of the back of the phone.

Between the model number and the case, signs point to this being the 2020 version.
