Already have this in my collection. Great game. One note: cardboard quality is kinda low. Have maybe 10 plays on my copy and the cardboard tokens look very worn with graphics kinda rubbing off. This is a great deal, grabbing a second copy as a backup for low quality components.

This is an amazing game. For this price, it is an absolute steal. Simple enough for family, but complex enough to keep adults entertained.

Ages 12+ ? Can anyone confirm this? have a 10 and 7 year old.
Depends on the kids I suppose. I played with my 6 year old as the characters vs the shark (controlled by my brother). My 6 yr old understood it generally, but needed a bit of rule and strategical help. But the characters work as a team, so no problem there. You would need someone to fully understand the shark, since its movements are in secret and it's not like you could help with moves. But the rules arent very complex, I think a 12 yr old could play either characters or shark. Or you could just play shark vs them and help with rules as needed. My 6 yr old thoroughly enjoyed it, and there's fun humor in it when it comes to fighting a shark with a baseball bat or other silly weapons. There are guns as weapons (in the form of cards), just fyi since I know some parents try to stay away from that. It's a fun game and not very complex. And for <$10, you basically get your $ worth with just one play anyway.

To be honest I don't think this game is that great. I find it more a niche game and while you can say "well yea 2000 reviews on amazon is that a niche" I sold the game after buying it for like 20. At 8 dollars sure no brainer not that much lost, but in general this was my complaints:

-Not fun for 4 people. The only fun player really is the shark player in a 4 player game.
-Learning curve is a turn off because on the first couple of games unless you know how to play against the shark or play with the shark you will lose to someone who has played before. This turned off my spouse from wanting to play it again.
-There has been so many discussions about boundaries in the 2nd phase of the game that trying to keep up with water vs boat boundaries while not impossible isn't very fun.

I consider myself middle of the road gamer. Smallworld, Legendary, Godzilla etc to me were more enjoyable. At 14 dollars as a super low price I would pay that 10 times over for Godzilla Clash vs this.

I finally got around to playing this. It was alright. Nothing mind blowing but I'd be okay playing this again if someone really wanted to play it. Still not my cup of tea though. It seems a bit unbalanced in favor of the shark, especially if the humans manage to completely screw up during the first part of the game, which causes them to get severely punished for the second part.

Add to this the fact that rolling dice determine hit points but the shark has "armor" that negates up to two hits per attack, and it becomes almost incredibly difficult to come back. In our game, it pretty much came down to the only player with the weapon that ignores armor doing most of the damage, while the other two players struggled to do any damage at all.

Price matched in-store along with a 10% off Target Circle coupon in the app. Paid $7.60 for it. Not too shabby. I'll try it out for that rpice.
