Got this for $116 back in January. I'll be honest I have no idea how to tell if these work lol but it's been nice to have and gives some peace of mind. Not sure this is how it works, but I removed some mold and had this in the room with it and the light turned red signaling the air quality was poor so take that for what it's worth. Nice looking unit and I like the jingle it plays when turning on and off

Me too 😂. I don't notice it until the 747 engine turns on and stars sucking *dirty* air. It does turn on pretty fast when cooking and with cigarette smoke.

Same here, and I'm liking it so far. Has anyone found good 3rd-party replacement filters for this unit? The Coway-branded ones run about $40 on Amazon (1 HEPA and 2 Carbon filters).

As always check with your energy provider if they offer partial refund for air purifiers that are energy star rated (I don't know if this one is, I didn't check).

You can tell they work by testing the air with a air quality monitor. There are many different ones available.

If you're not in a hurry, you can find these at a really good price on FB Marketplace. I got two brand new at $80 and $50.

I've been debating between this or Coway Airmega 150 or spend more and getting a Mila air filter

We had HORRIBLE fires in the northwest last year.. I have 3 of these units scattered around my house... they are worth their weight in gold... my neighbors couldn't breathe in their house.. my air is crystal clean... no joke if air quality turns bad... YES these work..10000% yes.

For those of you keeping an eye out for replacement filters, Kohl's sells them online for $60 each for a Coway OEM filter. I usually wait for their 40% off coupons, which takes the price down to $36 each, before I load up on filters for the for the year. Grab a bit of Kohls cash in the process too.

I've seen the OEM filters go for $39 to $51 at various places too.

Had a winix C545 and found the sleep mode (complete silence and no lights at night) to be very useful. Does this have a similar mode?

i had 2 of these running daily since 2018. looking to maybe get a 3rd. its basically a air sucking vacuum. you can see it works when you open the front lid and see dust and hair stuck on the mesh filter. kept on 2nd setting and i vacuum the mesh filter like 2 times a month usually

Get a Purple Air or similar device. https://www2.purpleair.com/

I read a bunch of studies on these devices and PurpleAir seemed to be one of the more reliable devices for the prosumer market. I've been using the indoor model for a few weeks and it's really been eye opening. The amount of air pollution that comes from cooking has been unsettling to see. And before someone tells me they are too expensive, yes they aren't cheap, and I don't think they really go on sale, but isn't keeping your lungs healthy the ultimate slickdeal? Smilie

Anyway, if you want to get into the weeds a bit, you can use Homebridge or similar software to make this a HomeKit device. Once your air quality drops to a certain level, your house can be set to automatically kick on the HVAC fan or turn on your air purifier (if it's hooked into a smart plug).

I've been using the VEVA branded filters from Amazon. I recently picked up a couple more sets since they're pretty cheap now and fire season is coming up again. 2 HEPAs and 8 prefilters for $40
