Been looking for a basement fridge. This looks nicer than what I had in mind for this price range. In 4 1!

The door swing can be swapped by moving the hinges.

Is this fridge designed to work in a garage (temps below 55)?

I found this independent of SD, but I did pull the trigger on it. While my current Frigidaire Gallery seems to be working fine, it's long in the tooth and over 10 years old. I noticed it's getting louder and it's getting some condensation inside, so probably time for a change.

This seems like a very good deal. Did buy with my Discover card, so that should bring down the cost to around $570 before tax. Mostly good reviews. Not the best fridge on the planet, but seems like a good choice at a lower price point, and of course we pick up extra warranty and such with Costco's guarantees.

Doubtful, most fridges aren't and wouldn't expect it at this price point.

If it's bought with Discover do you still get the extra warranty or do you have to use the Costco Visa?

Discover no longer has ANY perks, no Extended Warranty, no Price Protection, nothing.

Costco Visa gives you the extra two years. Or you can buy extra warranty.

Yes, Discover pretty much gutted many of their benefits which is why I rarely use it. The rotating 5% categories and no annual fee are the only things that make it worthwhile.

I don't have a Costco Visa, so I tried to figure out if I would pick up an extra year (Costco 2 years + 1 more from Amex, Visa or MasterCard) by going that route. I couldn't find an answer, so I decided to take the sure $30 from Discover.

But Discover card used to be a lot better than it is today.

So I got the refrigerator today and it seems very nice. It had very minor cosmetic damage and I don't think the delivery guys did it because they were obviously extremely careful. But I did call Costco and they offered me $60 in refund and I told them if they could do $100 we would call it even so they did. So that brought my price down to about $470 before tax. The dent and scuffing is extremely minor, so given the credit I cannot complain.

Tomorrow is the last day for this deal.

Check your e-mail to see if you got the $100 off $500 coupon to make this fridge $500. You can also ask for a price adjustment if you purchase the fridge recently.

If you did not get the coupon, you may be able to get it by calling or chatting.
