I left Verizon less than 3 months ago to join Mint. I'm in Month 3 of Mint, do you think I will be eligible?

Btw, can I do the purchase before having the number ready to port? Is there a time limit for porting the number?
If it is like Visible, you supposedly can, but it is an absolute PITA. I tried to do that with a $200 virtual card promotion on the OP8 when my original port-in didn't work. So I contacted them after the fact, and they said, "sure, you can port in later, and we'll manually apply your promotions." The agents were all super nice, but they NEVER got it right. I chatted with them probably 6 or 7 different times, and they always assured me that they would escalate the issue and somebody would fix it. But it never happened. Eventually, I figured my time was worth more than the extra $100 rebate I was supposed to get. So I gave up and just took the standard $100 GC, rather than the $200 promo card. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did. But if you can, I'd absolutely suggest having a number ready to port.

Btw, one other point...

In the email it says you get your code after paying for two months of service. So maybe it saying it takes 4-8 weeks to receive the code is why they say you must pay for 3. They send it after 2, but it takes until after 3 to get it.
I am assuming this is like Visible. And if that's the case, no you cannot even request the card until you've met the required amount of service. Otherwise, you'll only be eligible for the standard $100 card.

Any idea of a Verizon prepaid account would be eligible or just post-paid?

Stay away from Freedompop... you will waste your time trying this. They now mark port out accounts as fraud and cancel your service.
thanks, i usually active a couple of them ahead of time and never seen that get blocked. sorry might not be the best choice if you need to activate + port same day

So use a different provider. Freedompop sucks anyway and you shouldn't be porting an actual number you want. You buy a sim for a temp number just for port. If you are smart you would already have a GV account with your real number.
Right, that's exactly what I was using freedompop for and how I wasted my time and money since I also bought the card at Target like others have suggested. Of course I wasn't using my actual number...and you can't use GV for these port in deals. My point was to warn others to not get sucked into believing it's that easy to just buy a sim with a temp number and all will be ok. Maybe some other cheap provider that's actually on their port in allow list will work but they list freedompop and another poster suggested it so I'm just warning people to pick something else.

Unlocked/retail price iPhone 12 are $829.99. Carriers (AT&T, VZW, etc.) subsidized it to be $799.99.

YahooMobile/Visible is charging retail price + $10 for sim card before any rebates or discounts.

well, just telling you what it says. right in the confirmation email it says your code will be sent to you after your second payment.

As far as all of my other questions, after a huge ordeal I got everything taken care of at time of purchase and the number did port over, official once I activate the device tomorrow.

So IF they give the code before having to pay for a FOURTH month, then it's a good deal. If they take until close to the end of the third month, people need to complain to them and say it's ridiculous to have to stay active more than 3 months when the terms say you only have to stay 3 months.

it is a discount. I have never seen any carrier have it for $672 or less. they are usually over $800, whether $840 is msrp or not.
