So is their PFC sine wave their terminology for pure sine wave or just marketing fluff for simulated sine wave?

Thanks for the pointer. I had a need for a larger UPS, and this fit the bill. I was able the make the deal even sweeter by applying a technically expired $25 off $75 coupon I had (said it expired on 4/17 but it still took), and then applied Discover Cashback in the form of Staples GC. Net delivered (with tax) was $100.40. Not too bad at all!

I'm trying to figure out what this translates to in Watts supported. There's a "power factor" that I don't understand how I'm supposed to know.

When in doubt, google it. The model number comes back as 1500VA, aka 900W.

On another note, kinda mad. I just ordered this from Costco two days ago for $130. I needed it though, my old one is underpowered for my current PC.

I did Google it, but I Googled how to convert it rather than realizing the product page itself had the info. Googling is great if you know what to search for.

no rewards? they canceled my apple earplug order with the reason "coupons do not exist under your account" when I used the combination of their $25 off coupon along with my legitimate rewards. they said my rewards counted as coupons and that i cant combine the coupons.

discover conversion for staples isnt as good like the old days anymore. what is it now? 10% or 15%?

Code 81691 exp 4/21 takes $20 off 100+ which will bring this down to $114.99. Not the cheapest it's been but not terrible.

For those that care, I believe this one is a simulated sine wave unit.

OP, any cheap replaceable batteries?

I don't spend enough at Staples to have any rewards banked. Other than when I can get a coupon deal, their prices can nearly always be beat elsewhere.

Discover CB is 15% for Staples so I saved $17.25. One of the better uses for Discover CB in my opinion.

Looking back at my purchase history, I was able to snag this same model (they changed the exterior look) for $98 via Amazon on 7/2015. It is still in use with the original batteries (which I need to replace sooner than later).

Not a bad deal at all if you don't need a pure sine wave model.

I am looking to buy one for my data rack that runs Ubiquiti DMP, POE Switches, Modem and a Synology 4 bay NAS. Is this sufficient or do I need a pure sine wave?

Is a true sine wave model needed for a pc? What kind of equipment requires true sine wave?

You will have no problem with this "simulated sine wave" unit.

Devices with an "active" PFC power supply.
