In general, I would say yes. Even if you use the same drives, it's best to source them from different vendors as well. Whether or not you trust Seagate vs WD is another story. I'm fine with either and run both in my NAS (Qnap). In the end, ALL drives will fail, it's just a matter of time. I recommend a local backup and cloud backup of all important information (three total copies).

IronWolf and IronWolf Pros are possible. It seems that most of them in the last FP deal were Exos x16 ST14000NM001G drives. That does not guarantee these will be the same.

Umm no it wasn't... Smilie EDFZ drives are from Western Digital. This is a Seagate drive.

I had 4x 12TB at B&H on backorder from last deal for 2 weeks already.
Just placed 4x 14TB and going to ask to cancel the previous order when their chat opens.
So unless Adorama can do some better magic than B&H, I wouldn't expect they will be shipped soon.

For those that care, I just did this deal but from Newegg. Inside was an EDFZ drive if that matters to you. Works fine in my NAS with no 3,3v conversion required. Wasn't the 5400rpm drive I prefer (or EMAZ) but crystal disk reports helium filled. I'm okay with it - just hoping 7200rpm doesn't make it run too hot.
