If you use an angle grinder, or a disc cutter, you really ought to be wearing something like this. According to the manufacturer's product page, this product "Meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 + high impact standards" (https://www.jacksonsafety.com/pro...ace-shield)

If you don't know why you need this, see "Penetrating facial injury from angle grinder use"
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/...MC2263029/
(but don't go past the abstract if you're squeamish -- the pictures of injuries are intended for a medical readership)

Amazon calls this a "Bionic face shield." LOL. This made my day.

Angle Grinder + Face mask = Not having your face cut open.. hopefully

I've been trying to find the strongest one without being absurd.. anyone have one that could say if they could protect from an angle grinder disk flying in the air?

This is why I love SDers. A good post goes up but often times if one takes time to read the comments, someone has done the legwork to find an even better product for not a whole lot more. I mean that anti-fog Honeywell one is only $3.5 more, which is awesome!

Reps to you brother!

Hang it on the wall above your bench in your shop.
If you're on site, get a cloth bag and a rigid plastic bin to put it in. I've had good luck with the Dewalt TSTAK line.

As careful as you can be, they all get scratched.... Using, or just hanging around the shop, they get dusty and if you wipe the dust off, they scratch.... best to rinse under water to clean. For scratches, you can use a plastic scratch remover, but eventually, that typically distorts the vision/view that may or may not be an issue. When no longer serviceable, we just buy a new lens or a new face mask.

If not using, you could store in original box, or even inside an old pillow case... anything to keep the dust off.

My wife has been using my Angle Grinder to cut fiber glass. She definitely needs one of these. :-)
