I don't think it is open case. See the pictures in the review. Looks like there is a cover over the open section that slides in and out

ok deal i guess if you need it


according to reviews it can't do single ear piece, slave/master, only one works alone, so very old design.

I'll add my two cents: my wife and I both really like these. We bought them when they were on sale for 60 (they started around 100, iirc) and they are solid. They have most of the features I was looking for (wireless charging, usb-c, good battery life, comfortable fit, decent sound). Biggest drawback is they are terrible on phone calls in the wind... But what BT earbuds aren't? I think this is a great deal, and it is certainly a solid product all around. (And for the record, yes, the case closes - it swivels - can confirm, cats can't figure it out)
