About this product:
Surface: Aggressive, Uneven, Rocky Trails
Category: Neutral Cushioned - Intended for runners who have a higher, more stable arch that does not pronate excessively (roll inwards) or may even supinate (roll outwards). Neutral Cushioned shoes offer very little or no structure or pronation support and are generally more flexible than stability shoes. Runners who require a neutral shoe tend to notice more excessive wear on the lateral (outside) side of the soles of their running shoes. Neutral shoes can vary from lightweight and minimal cushioning to maximum levels of cushioning depending on the needs and preferences of the runner. Runners with high/stable arches tend to notice pain on the outside (lateral side) of their shins and knees and may also battle plantar fasciitis if not wearing a neutral cushioned shoe.

I just got a pair of these a month ago, and these are a BIG improvement on the Superior 4s. They have more cushion and a better system to lock your ankle in while running. They are a bit snugger than the 4s, but as I've been breaking them in, I'm finding that it isn't an issue for me. My toes don't seem to rub the front. Shoes don't expire so I guess I'll grab another pair!

In for one for the wife. She's sold on Altra over the Escalante road shoe. I've got that one plus a pair of Lone Peak, and the Lone Peak is the single most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. These are just a notch less cushy which should be perfect
The sizing for me has been pretty spot on. I've had a few pairs of Altras so far. The toe box may look funny, but I love it. No toes getting smashed together in these shoes!
