Take TPG's valuations and divide them by 2 to get realistic values.

I had to TD this as it is not one of the better sign up offers on this card in recent months and there are better cards out there for folks with great credit to get more bang for their buck. The 5 free (50,000 point) rooms last year was the best and I think 150,000 points wasn't all that long ago. 5 free nights X 2 (his and hers) came in handy last December when valuations were lower.

If you have an AMEX Bonvoy card, does anyone know if you can also get this card to stack the rewards? I think no....

Somewhat related: what site do you guys find the most helpful with finding good card deals and vacation deals?
I'm familiar with ft, tpg, millionmilesecrets, and a few others but they all seem to take more time than they should. Maybe there is a good subreddit? Or deal alert in here?

So you can only have one Marriott personal card. It will tell you that you are ineligible for bonus during sign up.. So unless you have the business amex the answer is no unfortunately.

You are also limited to one Marriott welcome bonus every 24 months.

I got this card and think it's a good deal for $95. To me, 100,000 points is better than the recent 5 free nights offer they had. When I stay at many Marriott hotels for 20,000 or 16,500 points per night, I can squeeze out 6 nights as the 6th night is free with 5 night stay.

Also, points don't expire in one year like the other offer. Get lifetime status and they never expire. And of course, you also get a free night stay with this card at the end of the term on your anniversary date of card opening.

No way this deal is better than last year's 5 free nights offer. My wife got the card and received the 5 free nights. We are using those nights for the Walt Disney World Swan this summer. 5 nights would be ~$1,800 or 250k Bonvoy points. It is free (plus resort fee) for us because of that sign up bonus. One of the best values I've ever seen from a credit card signup bonus.

It is really unfair to compare the two for redemption at a hotel that is 20k points per night when the certs are good for properties up to 50k points per night.

Of course it's fair to compare rewards cards, especially the Marriott cards. That's what card review sites do, like this one that says this deal is the best of them all:

https://wallethub.com/marriott-credit-cards

It really depends what you want out of the card. If you want the most luxurious free hotel rooms but only 5 of them valid only 1 year, then that card is for you. I'd rather have more free hotel nights costing fewer points, and points that I can save forever and use when I need them with Elite status. And an extra free night certificate to boot.

That's not what I said. I said it isn't fair to compare the two offers when using 20k points/night as the redemption value when free night certs were good for hotels up to 50k points/night.

Not everyone wants to stay at the Fairfield Inn off the interstate for vacation. That works for you and that's great. I want to take my family to Disney. This offer would get me 2 free nights there, whereas last year's offer on the same card got me 5 nights for the same annual fee.

Since both the cards(annual fee and without annual fee) offer 15 night credit annually , did you only have to stay 10 more nights to get gold elite? Since gold Elite requires 25 night stay.
