Marked down by 100 bucks. I believe the i8+ is the same as the I7+ just with a larger battery. With Costco extended warranty and return policy I am in for one for Mother's Day. Rather get the Deebot T8 AIVI but it's a bit pricey for me.
I wouldn't buy one for carpet if you have pets. Luckily I only have a little if it, but the Roomba leaves a lot behind. Works fine on my hardwoods though and sucks up the dog fur.

What do you recommend for shedding pet and carpet?

I just use my regular vac on it and let Roomba do 90% of the house that is wood.
Apparently Roomba is supposed to be one of the better robots for carpet too, I just know my vacuum still pulls a ton of hair out of it, and my vacuum is nothing special.
Battery life on this thing is pretty good thought. And for dog hair having the ability to dump the bin during a run is great.

Yes, I have this model. Have had it for several months. My $159 stick upright sucks a whole container of hair out of the carpet after the Roomba runs over it. I am also aware that people seem to think it is great on carpet. Maybe it is great compared to other robots.
I owned one of these from Costco, then when the I3 went on sale at Amazon for a few hundred dollars I looked up the specs on each. The only difference is the I8 has a more robust mapping feature. That's it. The suction is the same, the battery life is the same, same processor. I returned the I8 and got the I3 and all is well. I3 works great at substantially lower cost.

Thanks for sharing. Looked into this some more, and you're absolutely right!

Not including the stand. Thanks.
