At work, we have a Stihl straight shaft and an Echo straight shaft. The Stihl is a bit heavier, but has more power. The Echo is quite a bit lighter, but doesn't have nearly the power as the Husqvarna. This Husqvarna is is the happy medium, between the Stihl and Echo.

I no longer care what I paid for my trimmer 10 years ago, but the 128LD sits untouched waiting for me to convert it into a pole pruner one day ... also, 10 years is a long time to hope a single battery will still function.

cons, loud like most gas trimmers.
I can't tell you if the price is a good deal, but the product is good.

If you're in a HOA, I'd assume you don't have a large yard or much beyond just trimming long grass. If that's true, get a quality battery unit.

But I have this trimmer. Got it two years ago and ran great the 1st year and half. Now, it's giving me issues. It dies when I turn the choke off unless I keep feathering the gas.
It's a carb problem, which is really odd since I have a bunch of equipment and use the same gas in everything (gas is ethanol free with stabil added) and none of my other equipment has issues. Have stihl chainsaws, they run fine, have echo chainsaws, also run fine, and other husqvarna trimmers, also run fine. Not sure why this one has an issue.
With that said, I'll clean or replace the carb and I'm sure it will be running fine again.
