Is that worth the $140 price difference?
The desktop seems to be nicely and compactly built. My sole purpose was to get the gfx card as a temporary option for my other premium build. The processor has integrated graphics and the case came with both hdmi and display ports for the integrated graphics. Make sure you install intel gfx driver to use those ports. Dell does not install those.

I would rather take this 512G
for $140, I can upgrade RAM and PS myself
Only thing that's bad about it, is that the audio jacks take a few times of inserting my earphones in so they get recognized by the pc.
Also i can't plug in my headset and speak through it. I have to plug in a usb microphone or ps4/xbox controller.

I do all my editing on a Mac and office stuff on a work-issued laptop PC. So would this be worth getting just as a gaming/media consumption machine? Or should I just wait for console availability?

I think you missed the part that the GPU is 2660, not 1660.

RTX 2060 vs GTX 1660S
I just received mine yesterday, still in my garage.
