The proprietary power supply and motherboard headers in this computer mean you will run into issues with future upgrades. This is intentional, slimy, and bad for the environment.

I'm using the same 1660 Super in my older i7-3930K build. It works great! This deal won't last long so order it as soon as possible!

I got the XPS desktop with 2060 GPU a couple of weeks ago for $790. I think 16GB ram and 500w power supply are the notable difference.
Is that worth the $140 price difference?

The desktop seems to be nicely and compactly built. My sole purpose was to get the gfx card as a temporary option for my other premium build. The processor has integrated graphics and the case came with both hdmi and display ports for the integrated graphics. Make sure you install intel gfx driver to use those ports. Dell does not install those.

and 256G M.2 + 1T HDD
I would rather take this 512G

for $140, I can upgrade RAM and PS myself

I bought this PC a few months ago and it's good and fast. I can play most video games on here.
Only thing that's bad about it, is that the audio jacks take a few times of inserting my earphones in so they get recognized by the pc.
Also i can't plug in my headset and speak through it. I have to plug in a usb microphone or ps4/xbox controller.

This may be a dumb question, but how would this (with an extra 8GB or RAM) compare with a PS5 or Xbox Series X? I'm a long time console gamer who's always been a little curious about PC gaming. Since the current gen consoles aren't really available and this doesn't cost too much more, would it be a comparable gaming experience, or is the 1660 Super too outdated?

I do all my editing on a Mac and office stuff on a work-issued laptop PC. So would this be worth getting just as a gaming/media consumption machine? Or should I just wait for console availability?

Cant you upgrade the SSD?
I think you missed the part that the GPU is 2660, not 1660.

SSD is easily upgradable

RTX 2060 vs GTX 1660S

I just received mine yesterday, still in my garage.

Seems I missed it. Any reason not to refresh and add coupon a few times to see if I can get it in? Been waiting on a deal of a low end VR machine for a nephew.
