15% off + 10% off totals 23.5% off, not 25% off.

I got an embody for just over 1k after tax (free shipping) from an authorized dealer here in Ca.

For those who are asking for a contact, just go on Herman Miller's website, use their dealer locator and then reach out to a "local" vendor. I read online that they just have to be in the same state as you (not confirmed but I went with a dealer just a couple hours from me in the same state).

The embody I priced out on on HM was $1,675 BEFORE TAX. The dealer I went through got it for me for $1,067 (981 before tax) delivered to my house. I never left the house, everything was done via email.

I just heard about crandall today actually, apparently they had a big sale and it includes the full warranty on the steelcase chairs.
Not sure if someone else responded, but for the record it's not "the" full warranty, it is "a" 12-year warranty. The distinction here is that, unless something has changed, it's not a manufacturer warranty, it's a Crandall Office Furniture warranty. So it's up to them how and how well to service it. I don't have experience with them, but that made a difference to me when I was looking. I ended up buying a Leap V2 that was only a couple of years old from a localish used office furniture joint that I hadn't previously known existed (found it googling around for places in my region) and paid $275. No warranty, but like I said it was only a couple of years old and I inspected several and picked the one I was happy with. I've had it for a year now and it's the same as the day I got it.

Still, I do wonder if the Aeron may have been a better fit for me. At the time, they had those for $375 (same story - used, no warranty, but most looked excellent).

My buddy has like 10+ Aerons in his office and home in various sizes and really didn't care for them, I like the Steelcase Leap V2 better. One of my chairs is a Haworth from the 90s and it's excellent, very comfortable and looks new.

How are you all getting the 10% code, I can't seem to get one. Signing up for newsletter doesn't seem to work.

If you're in the market for a top tier office chair, go test them yourself. You can find Steelcase at official retailers and Herman Miller at Design Within Reach. Each chair fits different body types and you need to find what fits you best. I chose the Steelcase leap and it's been so much better than the aeron/embody/gestuee for me.

Tldr: try them out before you buy

"Chair" somewhere in the title would be very helpful. I only clicked because I can't stand it when I read something and have absolutely no idea what I'm looking at.

anyone recommend for my big body - 6 '2 290 lbs.
At 6'2 a size C aeron with a headrest. I have an embody and being only 5'10 it already feels pretty cramped especially with the lousy arm arrangement. My friend is 6'1 and he has an aeron with no complaints. As everyone will inevitable tell you to do, go to a showroom and try out the chairs. You might actually get lucky with a vendor that would price match hivemind.

bought the gesture, leap, and aeron. kept the aeron.
Did the seller pay for your shipping fees on the other 2 or were you kind enough to pay for the initial and return shipping

As someone with a $99 ikea chair, I want something new that will last since I now work from home exclusively. A lot of the comments on here make me think it's worth it to invest, but can anyone recommend what options are worth it for someone with no experience?

I also work in my basement which slants backwards from my desk, making it uncomfortable to sit for extended periods of time. Would something like this help (even with the best seat tilt option)?

This is $629 on Amazon and not on sale. Is this a slick deal? Am I missing anything?

Yeah, re-read the amazon listing.

These will last a lifetime. The one in my office has been there for like 15 years.
