Looks like the discounts only apply to the actual chair not any of the add-ons(which really adds up). I can get the chair with the same add-ons on the actual herman miller site for $10 more(they have a sale too). Herman Miller has a much better return policy as mentioned by a previous slickdealer.

I'm going to ask around with authorized dealers in my area, otherwise I think the Herman Miller site is the way to go.

Edit: nvm didn't include tax in the Herman Miller site.

Omg yes! This chair could have been so much better had they thrown in double or triple the amount of foam in the seat. I've got 3 leaps and love the chair except for that one flaw. I've considered removing the staples and adding my own foam.

Ppl pay this much for chairs bc if you sit at a desk for a living that's a significant portion of your life in that chair. It needs to be ergonomically designed to not wreck your body, much like a secretlab or any of those racing chairs will do.

Buy a sports car if you want race seats. They still won't be very comfortable but they'll keep you in place from g forces while cornering. Don't seem to experience much g force while sitting at my pc.

I actually loved my 2001 Toyota Sienna seat so much, I yanked it out and added casters and a 12v power supply to use it as my power adusting/heated computer chair. This was after a full grown horse in the middle of the interstate came through my windshield at 80mph. A most unpleasant experience!

It's a good chair - but not for everyone. Only buy this if you have sat in it before and like it.

Madison's response? Submit a warranty claim. Again, not the best.

I bought a Leap v2 from them recently, open box (but listed on eBay as "new in box"). The chair was in fine shape and less than half the price of a new Leap. YMMV but if you got a damaged item and Madison refused to accept a return, my next contact would be eBay, then if eBay didn't help, the CC company.

He did get a great deal, but I fired off a bunch of email inquiries to HM Authorized Dealers about a week ago, and it seems they've all been instructed to stick to their sales territories. I've gotten one to two quotes from dealers in my state, but once I go out of state, everyone has been shutting it down.
