I wonder how targeted these deals are. Are they micro-targeted down to the person, or are they targeted at a store (the app records which restaurant is "my" store), or perhaps to a region?
I suspect it's regional, because I got a deal for a free slushie today in the McD's app, and it didn't work because my restaurant didn't support the offer.
I got B1G1 free also and I didn't even consider that is a deal, and this one cost $1 more.
I also have $5 20 pieces chicken nuggets with two any size fries 1/days for whole month.
3. i saw their free fries sign at steak and shake. but it isnt easy just to walk in and ask for it. too guilty

Where I live, a Big Mac is $3.99. With the survey code, BOGO Big Mac is $4.29. With the app buy one get one for $1 deal, it works out 1 penny cheaper than your $5 whopper deal. Either way, cheaper than the whopper deal.
With the whopper, if you do the survey code, in my area I can a BOGO Whopper for $4.69 plus tax ($5.05). But costs and extra buck per whopper for cheese.
Almost every Wednesday I get coupons in my mailbox for Burger King too. Always a BOGO Whopper on them.
