Great product, very good deal.

I have both the wifi and bluetooth versions. Both work great, with very good range. I find that the wifi model updates faster than the bluetooth one, but it's not a deal breaker for me. You can track both models using the same Govee app. The app works really well, I really like their user interface.

I can't say the same for all "smart" devices I own, some of them have terrible apps full of bugs (e.g., my Lenovo smart plug). So kudos to Govee for doing a good job on their app and keeping it updated (at least until now).

FYI, Govee posts promotion codes periodically on Slickdeals. The last code for the Wifi model was in posted January, with a lower price ($17.90). https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/621823

The current price is a bit higher ($19.88 vs $17.90 in January). Still, it's a very good price and a great product. I recommend it.
Same as everyone else here. This is a good deal.
I bought one back when it was on sale for like $18 a few months ago.

I have it in my downstairs Freezer *AND* running on Eneloop rechargeables, and it has worked flawlessly for months now.
Haven't had to recharge the batteries yet either.

I have bought 2 more of them now, and will put in my regular refrigerator/freezer upstairs, to track them as well.

For those running Home Assistant, the Wifi interface isn't supported, but the Bluetooth is, so you can bring these into Home Assistant, and set up warnings/alerts in there as well.
Nice product, works well. The wifi one lets you access away from home which is important for me. I have a boat with a refrigerator that is set 1-2-3-4.. not by temperature and it varies with ambient. Just last week, I saved my beer from exploding when I saw the temp dip below 28 degrees. I told my Dad and he wants one for his RV with the same type of fridge.
Thanks OP!

->The coupon code works for multiples in a purchase. I got 2 for ~$40.

Can you use this with HOOBS or HomeBridge? Looking for a HomeKit solution.
Did you find a solution to this? I saw someone else mentioned HA, but would much prefer a simple solution using HOOBS.

So, I got this so that I can access the temperature via my phone and not have to deal with turning on BT and connecting everytime, but it seems like the temperature obtained through the app on my phone isn't immediate, but retrieval of old logged data. If this is the case, this is has no useful application for me. I'm just looking for convenience to quickly check the temp on my phone.

Anybody familiar with this device, let me know if there is a solution to what I'm looking for as I don't see it.

Yes, what you have found is correct.

The BLE interface will send out the data live and continuous.

The Wifi interface, on the other hand, will only wake up, and send the data as a big chunk of data every 5 to 10 minutes or so.
ie, the data itself was cached, so it does represent the proper data at the right times, it is just that it isn't sent out live.

I imagine they do this for battery reasons. Wifi is extremely battery-intensive. So keeping it alive the whole time would eat the batteries too quickly.

I have multiple Govee hygrometers. In comparison to the Accurite hygrometers, Govee consistently shows humidity as 3 to 5% higher than Accurite. Our dehumidifier tends to agree with Accurite.
Which Accurite models do you own and what are the Pros/Cons? In the market and reviews are overwhelmingly confusing at most price points. So, I am relying on SD to help guide the final decision.
