Sorry, but there was never a similar I5 for $300 during BF.

The 11th Gen WERE shipping during BF, but the deals were only on the 10th Gen.
Huge Generational Difference.

The SCREEN on this laptop is actually a quality screen in both NITS and Resolution.
The BF deals did not have this quality screen....

The BUILD Quality for the mid-tier laptops, this is a high-quality build with better chassis, keyboard, trackpad, etc.. etc....

The SSDs were smaller on bottom-tier....

And no....In General, there were not any long-standing deals for any i5s at $300. Perhaps a 5-minute deal, but those were the older i3s....Any i5 deal that was not OOS in under 5minutes for the i5 was closer to $350.

And if you are lucky to have the AMEX deal, then this is only $420....
Blowing away even BF deals if you have the AMEX deal.

No, it is not high at all and in fact one of the cheapest price. And What is that idiotic logic of paying over $500 for a 14 incher? You know, there are 14 incher costing $2000 as well. The Price of a Laptop is not just decided by the Screen size.

Dell Memory Upgrade - 8GB - 1RX8 DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz- $97.99
and
Dell Memory Upgrade - 8GB - 1Rx16 DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz- $52.9
Will the 1Rx16 be compatible with the 1x8?

Needs a little bit of legwork as the low level customer service representative might deny stating that it's part of the bundle and can't be cancelled. Say you want to talk to your supervisor and make a case stating that you want to opt out. Even supervisors may deny. But keep trying. Call and try again. Only thing that seem to work is be persistent and if it comes to the wait on call for sometime, so be it. Ultimately it is $38 refund for an antivirus which anyways I wouldn't have needed and it's well worth the effort

Don't give up so easily. He has to wrap up the call within a fixed time frame, but you don't have to . If he wants to put you on hold for a while to see if you give up, beat him in his own game. Let him be the one to lose and give up. Ultimately, they tend to give up because they can't be on a call forever. If he tries to wrap up without doing anything, insist on talking to a supervisor. That should definitely work. Because even though this rep might have time to waste, his supervisor definitely won't.


If you feel call is not working. Drop them an email and they do get back through email though that could be a day or two later

We need to know if it's 1Rx8 or 1Rx16. The only way to know may be to open up the laptop and look at the memory chip.
