The CX is from LG, this set is from Sony. I'd much prefer this Sony A80J to the LG CX.

That's not the same Sony set. The one in your link is the A8H, the one is this deal is the brand new A80J.

I pulled the trigger on this.. It seems like less and less reviews on TV's are about the PQ but instead all about gaming.

How is the operating system vs LG? I was so set on getting the C1 but I also want the next gen tuner for future proofing.

The Sony OS suuuuuuucks. There are too many sub menus and it's just not a very intuitive setup.
LG has a vastly superior OS, and the remote is way better.

It's all about one's preferences. Sony uses google aps and a lot of people prefer that to LG's OS.

As for the remote, Sony would win hands down if they included the backlit remote from the 90 series, but they are too cheap so no back lighting.

Got lucky and had an old 10% off coupon and was able to call and get it adjusted....$3,150 total. Also, I already got my shipping notification. Good deal...hope it looks as good as the reviews says it does.
