nice box, but the harbor freight 56 inch is better built. the milwaukee has a nicer drawer arrangement, but the top two are too small.

PACKOUT compatible?
Probably? Might not have enough space to house all of your sarcasm though

Is there a link for the one you're talking about? What's the cost difference? I've always read that Harbor Freight has high quality tool benches like this even though they're known for cheap-@ss hand tools and stuff

I have this tool bench and it is fantastic. Regular price is $798, this is the first time I have seen it more than that. I was able to get it for $698 last year +tax and $99 shipping.

My first one arrived severely damaged. Customer service was great and arranged freight pickup of the damaged one, shipped a new one and gave me an $85 refund.

Will this bench stand up to hand planing wood? Most of these things either skid away or rack and twist so bad that it's hard to use them

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. I suspect people just assume when they see "harbor freight" it's gotta be crap. The reality is Harbor Freight's non-entry level tool chests are some of the best on the market and a ridiculously good value. You aren't going to find any pros knocking them unless they haven't done their homework. I'd say this Milwaukee option isn't bad if you could use a mobile work surface and pegboard along with a lighter-duty tool chest, but if you're simply looking for tool storage, there are much better, heavier-duty options in the same price point. This Milwaukee chest is 400lbs. The HF one is nearly 1000lbs and has a 4400lbs weight capacity vs this one's 2200lbs capacity.

I call BS. Even their "professional" level Icon 73" doesn't weigh 1000lbs.

And I bet the 4400lbs capacity is referring to the casters where-as the Milwuakee's 2200lbs is probably referring to what you can put in the drawers.
I can't quote the specs but HF boxes are the best thing in the store bar none, and better than any brand I've seen that doesn't come off a tool truck. Double drawer slides, higher gauge steel, hemmed edges, bracing inside the base around the casters, they are a LOT of value for the money. As for the Icon stuff, meh. HF trying to punch above their weight class there, plus hurt by the increase in raw material costs.
