A buddy of mine likes to use Ready Player One. Yes, this movie does make aggressive use of the overhead and surround speakers, such as during the race scene (with King Kong, etc.). But I feel like there are disconnects in that scene between what you see on the screen versus where you hear the sound coming from, which makes Atmos feel gimmicky.
To me, a better movie is Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. Much more natural placement of sounds. And the way they've integrated the musical score is outstanding, especially in the opera scene.
Spider Man Far From Home is a good one, especially the scene where the bad guy surrounds with him with visual effects and tries to kill him. (Trying not to spoiler).
The Harry Potter movies also make aggressive use of overhead and surrounding speakers, but using DTS:X rather than Atmos. Both systems are typically included in modern AV receivers. Some people strongly dislike these movies' sound, because it certainly could have been implemented better. But I say it's still entertaining.
Saving Private Ryan is a phenomenal soundtrack, though I do wish they had employed the overhead speakers just a tad more. I would say similar for Apollo 13. But both do a good job of helping you feel like you are there in the movie with the characters. (Apollo 13 is another DTS:X title, but again, if you have Atmos, you probably have DTS:X).
Of the movies I've mentioned, only Apollo 13 is part of this sale. Lone Survivor is in this deal, and makes very good use of DTS:X, as do the Jurassic movies.
People have to keep in mind a big reason we have so many wide range of opinions on this, very few people have actually heard a proper setup and their expectations are skewed.
A big problem is it's not easy to set one up in an average home.
Contrary to popular belief the quality of every speaker does matter.
To have all full range/reference speakers is not cheap.
I had helped many people setup or upgrade to different object based alternative setups and I also felt it was a "gimmick" and wasn't going to upgrade.
Not until I actually heard a proper setup did I realize it was the real deal and worth the investment.
As I mentioned this is all subjective so this is just my opinion based on experience. What each person believes is the only thing that should matter.

40% of the movies are just upscaled and not true 4K resolution; however. (i.e.: F&F series, etc.)

It was a Paradigm Persona 7.2.4 perfect setup.
One of the most phenomenal set ups I've listen to, only 3rd time(in 30+ years) the sound was so seamless speakers disappeared!
Followed Dolby's overhead layout to a tee.
Mine is Monitor Audio GS 5.2.4, cost a bit but well worth it IMO.

Took awhile but I was able to track down 2 new pair of matching in ceiling speakers and work out a deal for the 2 pair for, if I remember correctly $900 + shipping.
Waterworld was a high budget flip...but for less than $10.00 I will take a chance
