You can potentially save another $5 if you don't mind giving them your phone/email by joining HD garden club (even you previously did): http://pages.homedepot.com/garden. The coupons should arrive to your email in 10 minutes. One of the coupons should work on this order or any purchase of $50+.

I just bought this thing in a tool only version on amazon for the same price, returning and getting from Home Depot for the bag and battery. This is a nice tool for "plunge cuts" ie: cutting straight into something like drywall, wood. Can also cut metal pipes or PVC pipes for plumbing, and has a sander attachment. So kind of neat. XR Brushless being the "better" tool compared to atomics or the junk you might get in a multikit

This is the best tool Dewalt makes IMO. It's the king of oscillating tools that are under $300. I wish Dewalt had more tools of this quality... it'd be nice to find one brand of tool that has everything well made so I don't need to have so many batteries, adapters, and chargers going at same time.

But for the XR oscillating tool, I bought a few at $99 w/o batteries/bag as well, but I'm not worried about it because the 1.5ah and charger are basically paperweights. And the bags are worthless... unless you are making a quilt. If so I got tons of them you can have lol. So I'm not bothering returning them. If this XR was $119 and came with that 3ah low profile battery, I'd hop on it. I like that battery for the small router and I only have 2 of them currently.

Prejudices against Atomic aside, is there any practical reason this tool is better than the Atomic deal with the 5ah batter that was posted a few days ago other than the slightly less power and missing hole for a belt hook. I am looking for noticeable real world differences.

I currently have a couple of Makita power tools but wanted to build a Milwaukee collection. Was thinking of selling my makita ones. Is it a terrible idea to own multiple brand cordless tools? I would love to own this tool as well.

Atomic is a single speed, while XR is 3-speed. Also, XR is contractor grade, which supposed to last much longer with daily use.

Some people definitely feel that way.

i AM NOT one of those people. I have Milwaukee M12 and M18, Dewalt 20V XR, and Ego 56V cordless tools. I could have easily went all red team or yellow team for the tools I own. Having the (relatively) best tool for the job is much higher on my priority list than a mountain of spare batteries or color coordinated tool cabinet.
