I pulled out the 128gb nvme drive, and put in a Intel 760p 2TB nvme drive, worked just fine. The 8gb ram was soldered in.. so it can never be upgraded.
Actually... this is also on amazon for the same price.. with the 5% extra on amazon purchases.. might be a better deal for some;

If you already have a tablet, or laptop. Might be better to wait till the EVO products are on sale. Supposedly designed for extended battery life. I tried playing xbox's cloud gaming, and every once in awhile, it would have graphic artifacts.. not ready for prime time yet. (IMHO)
Note: I did have some issues with returning, they claimed "buyer's remorse" when I had planned to buy a brand new one at bestbuy when it was on sale. With the negative experience, I worked with amazon to get a full refund, and decided to not buy anything from Acer. Might pick up a LG Gram 17 instead.

Edit: I contacted both ebay and Acer, both can't/won't price match. Them's the breaks I guess.

It is not the same price though, with promo code it takes another 15% off. I've used this chrome book extensively and it's top tier aside from the speakers, the screen is amazing, the performance is smooth as you would expect from a chrome book with an i5. The keyboard and trackpad are excellent. Build is all metal. For a $432 after tax device, this is a spectacular buy.
Depends on workflow but typical email, YT playing and 7-8 tabs open I get about 8 hours, I typically keep mine at 90-100% brightness.

Tried a refurb Chromebook from Acer about five years ago. Cosmetically perfect. The trackpad went bad when the battery swelled the bottom casing apart about two years in. I probably just got a lemon as I think Acer generally makes decent Chromebooks.
This is one of the top rated chromebooks on the market right now.

Hmm, I got Acer to refund $50 on Acer spin 3 deal dropping in price. Do it amazon style then,just return and rebuy then...
