I can't vouch for the deal but this stuff saved so many articles of kids clothing. We have a 2YO who spills EVERYTHING. A little water and some Fels Naptha and the stains go away. This is an old school clothes-saving voodoo bar.
Recommended to use after exposure to poison ivy, cuts the oil and yes safe on skin

+1 on the poison ivy fighting qualities. And if I've already broken out, I wet the bar slightly and rub it on the cleaned blisters like a crayon. Forms a nice waxy protective layer when dry, great before bed so that sheets won't rub me wrong.

This has a gas like smell to it....have bar in garage sink last years. My mothers mom used this to wash the workmens (field labor) overalls by hand on a washboard.
Naptha is a petroleum product and the main ingredient in Zippo fluid if that reference helps anyone. Dial Soap owns this brand now and to me it smells more like Dial than anything else.

Naphtha is no longer an ingredient of the soap.

Never heard of this stuff before so am very interested in trying it. I plan to buy it via Amazon but after checking prices I could see that Walmart sells these same soap bars for 97 cents reg price. (in Missouri).
Mills Fleetfarm (FleetFarm.com) has it for 94 cents reg price. Other places sell this as well and many are much higher priced. Just thought I'd throw this info out there after reading some comments about folks having difficulty purchasing this item. (Love Slick Deals & appreciate you folks for helping everyone). Smilie

Does this work for getting antiperspirant stains out of the armpit on shirts?

Ah the old Coca-Cola switcheroo? Naptha in coke and caine in Fels? Seems too cheap to be true but the numbing of the pain and itch makes me wonder what secret ingredients there may be. I know some older folks who pour gasoline on their poison ivy blisters so that could be some clue to the puzzle.

On its face, the deal part is insignificant. The only slick part is that some need it to fill out their S&S orders to save 15%, These are under a dollar every day at Walmart. Every time this gets posted for Amazon S&S, it is very popular.

I take a Silkwood shower after lawn work to thwart potential poison ivy breakouts. It doesn't really lather, but who cares? I will try it on stains after seeing replies here. Been using Shout spray to pre-soak, which does a very good job.

Isn't this the cracked yellow bar of soap our mothers had on the wash basin in the basement? If so I think that's a once per lifetime purchase.

what does it smell like and how strong is the smell?

sounds interesting. good item to add to get 15% s&s discount on other stuff - if anyone has other low price S&S suggestions- I would love to know.

Travel sized Gold Bond is almost always under a dollar:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012FUY..._page?th=1

Scotch-Brite scrubbing sponges, under $3 before S&S:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072LVG...etail_page

It's out of stock now, but Irish Spring soap is often $2.50 before S&S for a 2-pack:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08113N...etail_page

The best part is that I can actually use all of these.

I was reading the reviews on Home Depot and it seems there was a formula change and long time users are not happy with the current performance of this soap.

I use the following as an additive to laundry sometimes

1 fels naptha
1 zote bar
3c borax - 20 mule team
3c washing soda
2c baking soda
1c oxiclean
3c detergent

I cut up the naptha and zote bars, then run them through the food processor
Mix all in a small plastic pail, like 2qt size, with cover.

1/4 cup of above mixture added to laundry with regular detergent.
