Is a Nespresso worth the upgrade from a keurig? I know the pods are more expensive but don't mind paying extra for better tasting coffee. Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a Nespresso for me to try

Nespresso VertuoPlus pods make keurig taste like coffee-flavored water or water-flavored coffee?
Either way the difference in quality is night and day - Nespresso coffee is just better and you dont have to be a coffee enthusiast to taste the difference
Only downside is - as you mentioned - the pods are expensive so I enjoy it sparingly and still use the keurig on the side
I just picked up the Breville Pixie with milk frother for 139.99 including the 20% off coupon from BB&B. I just wanted espresso, nothing fancy and plan to sell the frother (machine alone was the same price). Seems to work great with the included sample pods. It is louder than I expected, but not an issue for me. I really liked the small size and more premium build quality of the pixie compared to some of the others. I didn't want to spend a whole lot on a true top tier Nespresso machine because at that point I'd be better off with a real espresso machine. I have a Breville Barista Express at work and while the two espressos are different, they are both delicious and comparable. Obviously the Barista requires some practice and doesn't always come out the same. The Pixie is consistent and quick. Overall I'm pretty impressed with it.

YES!! Very much yes! I'll never go back to k-cups! Huge difference...
If you have a Costco membership they have the Vertuoline with frother, plus 40 plus capsules for $170, which comes with a $35 off coupon for next order (nespresso dot com)
I used to have a nespresso machine until I upgraded to a Saeco Incanto Plus. Yes, it's more $, mine cost me $340 on sale but it makes better espresso than a nespresso. The coffee pods in a nespresso make a better cup of coffee though if that's your thing. I prefer espresso, because of that I prefer the Saeco. It's nice being able to use any whole bean coffee I choose instead of being tied to the nespresso pod choices.
