Rep reapplied for me over the weekend. Denied again. Spoke to them just a bit ago, no explanation from the department that handles it, apparently they said since I don't have Internet Essentials, they can't do anything and to literally call the FCC about it.

Do you have regular internet? I wonder if the only people getting approved are Internet Essentials customers?

Use it or not your tax money will pay for it just the same. Unless government force private business take up the cost without compensation just like they are doing with the rent (making it illegal for landlord to evict people during this era without compensation).
Figure its going to be tough finding somewhere to rent after it goes out of effect or it will be such high rent

For Xfinity customers, here is the link (https://www.xfinity.com/learn/int...ervice/ebb) on what to do after you apply. It also lists useful answers to questions. EBB will stack with an internet essentials plan. Once you submit your application it will take up to 48 hours to get an email.
On the Xfinity form, is it supposed to show "Added to your plan.....EBB application $0.00/mo"? Is the $0.00 correct? Do they fill in the $50 credit after you submit and are approved.

Got a $50 credit text from Xfinity, it's already showing up on my next auto pay date.
Fantastic! When you submitted the application, did it show EBB application $0.00/mo on the form? How long did it take to receive the text with $50 credit info?

edit: Now T-Mobile says my plan "doesn't qualify". I'd have to change plans to take advantage of the government program. What an absolute mess.

Anyone have luck with T-Mobile? Filled out their application which is pretty straightforward but they deny me saying my info doesn't match the NVL. Call T-Mobile and they have no clue.

So my ISP won't honor the program without me paying more for my same service and my wireless carrier can't figure out how to apply it. Awesome.

So I just found out that you can't get the $100 device credit with T-Mobile, as the 2 cheapest tablets they offer cost $168, outside of the $50 co-pay maximum.

So if you have T-Mobile, it's probably best to apply your EBB benefit with your home broadband provider as they may have cheaper device options that qualify for the $100 benefit.

(Just to be clear, the EBB terms state that you have to get the device through your broadband provider, as the $100 device credit will be another bill credit)

I called in 5 days ago, he said will apply after 2 bill cycle. The discount already shows online. ATT has a special number to handle EBB.

Got denied. Me and my husband are joint filiers with income less than 198k and both of us are subject to furlough, due to furlough we lost about 2 months salary (not sure if that doesnt count as substantial loss, or maybe i just misunderstood it), and we got denied. Which is ok, because now we read more about this we're not willing to take the risk of losing our current internet plan ($44.99 for 400mbps spectrum, for two years) for a $50 discount. Good for those who are really in need of this assistance and who have been approved. Those who need this: i hope you get approved soon! Good luck.
