$70 for a brand new unlocked USA model smartphone without going through any hoops? I don't think so.
I got in on that deal a few months ago from Best Buy through the deal posted here on Slickdeals.
I didn't have any hoops to go through.

I have the G7 version of this phone, sorry to say I don't like it after 2 months use. Slow to open app, camera is average... Maybe the G7 Plus is better?

The G7 Plus is decent, but for the same money, the Pixel 3 at the same price is a much better choice. I've owned 2 different Moto's and they are fine, but not up to Pixel performance, especially with regards to cameras, screen, and speaker quality of the Pixel.

Edit: just noticed the Moto does NOT have bands 66, 71 and that's a deal killer on T-Mo.
Not accurate. Bands 61 and 71, among many others, are listed directly on the motorola.com page for the G7 Plus.

Looks like this would be a good phone for LineageOS for the privacy and security-minded folks.

You can even run these without Google software.

I'll never buy another Motorola phone, update wise it's terrible. When google bought the phone division it was great, then Lenovo got it and it went downhill. Idk who owns it now

Ahh, good. I got my info from here which shows it does not have 66/71: https://www.phonearena.com/phones...us_id11064

This is the regular price at both Amazon and Best Buy, though Amazon *just* raised their price by $3 within the last 24 hours.

The initial release of the G7 Plus had a round camera bump and cases for the G7 were an exact fit for this version. But the newer version - the current version with the same name - has an oval camera bump. Therefore, G7 cases are no longer an exact fit. Many G7 cases fit "well enough" (cases which are soft or flexible in the area surrounding the camera or will for if modified/cut, but cases which are rigid around the camera bump will be raised up and create a gap, as they usually can't sit flush against the back of the phone (since the camera bump is wider).

Note that many sellers' listings on eBay and Amazon will show the G7 Plus with the oval camera bump and state that they fit that phone, but the case itself only has the cutout for the round camera bump. I made the mistake of trusting one of these listings and ended up with a case with the round cutout. I've only seen cases with the oval cut out for sale at T-Mobile when they sold their branded version of this phone and, because that phone is no longer available, T-Mobile no longer has those cases available for sale, either.

I used this case on my G7 and it fit my G7 Plus (with the oval camera bump) well enough without having to modify the case.

That information is for the (old) initial version of the G7 Plus. Note the round camera bump in the photos.

You got a great price! That almost certainly had to be a case originally from T-Mobile, since the retail packaging is labelled as it being for the REVVLRY+.

T-Mobile also sold a case from Speck for this phone.
