I've been looking for a mattress deal, and my brother bought one of these Beautyrest 12" Silver BRS900 Medium Mattresses [costco.com] a few weeks ago that my 6'-6" 240 lb. nephew is happy with. The Queen is $439.99, and the King and California King are $599.99. These all include delivery, set up, and haul away of your old mattress, plus they include the Costco backing of returns if necessary.

I'm not a Costco member, so they tack on their 5% surcharge for non-members. It's worth the surcharge to me to get the Costco take-it-back assurance.

These mattresses were showing out of stock in my area today, so I kept refreshing the page until late in the day when they were back in stock.

Nice find. This is not the cheapest Costco has sold these for (last year, Costco had the queen for $399.99 and king/California king for $549.99) but this is still a very good price for a very good mattress.

OP, you may want to consider getting a Costco membership. The 5% surcharge would put a significant dent in the cost of a one-year membership and I think would entitle you to price match protection from them as well.

Anyone have this mattress and able to provide an opinion on firmness? picked up a casper essential from sams club last month and its a bit too firm for me, wondering if this is a bit softer.

Yeah, I thought about it, but I don't get on the side of town where Costco is because traffic is terrible, and when I had a Costco membership a couple of years ago I might have gone twice.

I have the queen size one. The tag attached to the mattress shows the mattress is MEDIUM-FIRM, not medium showing on the website. But firmness is subjective, I would recommend anyone interested go to Macy's and try it yourself. Personally I like the mattress; the memory foam works very well, keeping my back comfortable and reduce the pressure on my hip.

Is it possible to try this mattress in a store ( Not just Costco warehouse), What's the return policy on mattress?

PS: Macys doesn't seem to carry this anymore.

Be careful with Zinus, All most all of them have fiberglass in it.

It's used as a fire retardant and it is used in a lot of cheaper mattresses. Mattresses sold in the USA must contain a fire retardant and many lower end mattresses use it because of its low costs. It is not something that you want in a mattresses. If the cover rips and fiberglass gets out of the case, it will cause a huge mess that you will never be able to fully cleanup. It is also really bad for you if it gets inhaled. It is something I would try to avoid in a mattress.

Fiberglass is extremely irritating if inhaled or touched, but when would you ever rip open a mattress? They're pretty durable in normal use. The only case when I've seen people run into issues is when they purposefully tear open a mattress to change out the upper comfort layers that sagged. Just don't do that and you're almost certainly fine.

^ 2x... I'm needing a medium/firm king for a new platform, but wanting to try-out the Kirkland Sterns & Foster offering.

I previously got the Sealy West medium-firm in full (decent on a platform setup) and in queen (great with a box-spring).
