What would the usage case be for a 2.5" sata this size where a smaller NVME plus large platter storage wouldn't cover it? Perhaps last gen consoles?

I want 4tb in my laptop... all spinner larger than 2tb won't fit in my laptop but this 4 tb ssd should..

probably... but I also bought a huge 8gb memory card for $327 back in the day. (yes, I said 8gb as in EIGHT gb)
Very low, people (and businesses) are buying up drives at a record pace to plot/farm CHIA
If I was going into farming, I would buy the biggest drives out there.(and cheapest based on price per TB) Perhaps 12TB to 18TB....
That said, it's the cheapest 4TB SSD
Staring at a 7 year old SSD with zero issues, I'll take my chances. And "recoverable" is a sliding scale. I've got an old 80gb HDD that died and nothing I can do in my house will recover the data. No doubt with enough money, a professional could pull data off, but that isn't exactly something I or most people want to pay for.
